SUMMIT REPORT, Namchi 20 Mar:
A one-day RAMP awareness program and workshop was held at Sikkim Government College, Namchi, in collaboration with the Commerce & Industries Department, Sikkim Entrepreneurship & Economic Development Cell [SEED Cell], and the Entrepreneurship Cell, Sikkim Government College, Namchi.
The event, conducted under the Raising & Accelerating MSMEs Performance (RAMP) programme, was aimed at raising awareness about various government schemes and initiatives that empower local entrepreneurs, youth, and business owners with valuable knowledge and growth opportunities.
The workshop had Namchi Singhithang MLA Satish Chandra Rai as chief guest.
The workshop provided an in-depth overview of various government schemes, such as PMFME, PMEGP, PM Vishwakarma, SYSS, UNNATI, PAN, GST, and GeM. Resource persons from relevant departments shared their expertise on the schemes, discussing eligibility criteria, benefits, and application procedures.
The session saw active participation from local entrepreneurs, youth, business owners, as well as faculty members and students of the college who engaged in fruitful discussions with the resource persons. Informational materials and handouts on the different schemes were distributed to ensure better understanding and accessibility of these initiatives.
