Sikkim Manipal University (SMU) has been designated as the nodal institution for the Vikshit Bharat Youth Parliament 2025 for Gangtok, Pakyong, and Mangan districts of Sikkim. The initiative, spearheaded by the Government of India, aims to engage young minds in the democratic process and encourage their active participation in nation-building.
The District Level Competition of the Vikshit Bharat Youth Parliament 2025 is set to take place at SMU, providing a platform for young individuals between the ages of 18 to 25 years to voice their perspectives on the nation’s development. Interested participants from these three districts are invited to register and participate through the My Bharat portal.
To participate, eligible youths must register on the My Bharat Portal and upload a one-minute video answering the question: “What Does Vikshit Bharat Mean to You?” The registration process is open until March 9, 2025. Shortlisted participants will be invited to compete in the District Level Youth Parliament, which will be hosted at SMU on a stipulated date. The selected students from the district level will proceed to State Level competition and subsequently to National Level at New Delhi. Winners will secure attractive prizes and national recognition.
