Kuber Bhandari was re-elected president of the Sikkim Olympic Association [SOA] on Sunday. The new executive body of the SOA will be in office till 2029, and has Chewang Zangpo Bhutia and Tashi Ongdup Lepcha as vice-presidents, Jas Lal Pradhan as general secretary, Bhim Bahadur Subba and Mahendra Dhakal as joint secretaries and Sangay Palzang Bhutia as treasurer. Likewise, Phuntshok Chopel Bhutia, Bijoy Gurung, Arun Kumar Gurung and Suman Tamang have been elected as executive members. Mr Kuber Bhandari was elected unopposed.
