2 recoveries and zero new Covid cases in Sikkim

Sikkim recorded two new recoveries, and what comes as even more reassuring news, no new cases of Covid-19 in the past 24 hours. There are now only 5 active Covid cases in the State, two of whom are down with severe symptoms and currently admitted in the ICU. The other three, meanwhile, are either asymptomatic or have only mild symptoms.
As per the Daily Report of Covid-19 in Sikkim released by the Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme of Health Department, all the 153 samples screened for Covid yesterday returned negative and Sikkim cumulative count of cases recorded since testing began on 28 Feb, 2020, holds at 39,143.
Thus far, 37,940 people have beaten the virus to given Sikkim current recovery rate of 99%.
As per the IDSP report, no life has been lost to Covid since 27 March and the toll continues to hold at 452.
In continuation of Covid vaccination drive, Sikkim administered 888 doses of corBEvax vaccine to children aged between 12 to 14 years and 257 doses of Covaxin to the children in the 15-18 age-group on Tuesday. Similarly, 118 adults were vaccinated with Covishield and 238 received the precautionary third dose of Covishield.
