Golitar to host friendly between ISL players and Howlers Sporting Club

Players of Indian Super League are set to come together at Golitar Ground, Singtam for a special exhibition football match against Howlers Sporting Club of Golitar scheduled to be held on 18 Jun, a press release informs.

The program also includes felicitation ceremony of more than two dozen players of the area. Area MLA, Gopal Baraily is set to attend the function as the chief guest along with some popular faces in football like Nirmal Chettri, Sanju Pradhan, Bikash Jairu and Robin Gurung.

Lhamu Tamang, a young boxer from Adarsh Gaon who has been selected for Sports Association of India camp at Bhopal for Youth Commonwealth Games in Bahamas to be held this July will also be felicitated on the occasion.

“It is an attempt to bring together sports enthusiasts of the area together with the people who have made it big in the national scene. It is an interaction programme between the players to learn something from the ones who have made it big,” said Howlers Sporting Club president, Nishant Subba.
