Chief Minister Pawan Chamling attended the concluding Rapney ceremony of the Eight Stupas at Guru Padmasambhawa Statue, Samdruptse today. The ceremony organized by the Samdruptse Management Committee [SMC] had been inaugurated by the CM on 01 Jul. The concluding programme today had the presence of SLA Speaker, KN Rai, District Collector-South, Raj Yadav, Chairpersons, Advisors, officials and a large number of devotees.

The consecration ceremony was conducted in the presence of Khorchen Rinpoche of Mindrolling Monastery Dehradun accompanied by the monks of Ngadak Gumpa, Boomtar Namdrolling and Serdup Cholling Gumpa.

During the inaugural ceremony, the CM alongside Khorchen Rinpoche and devotees offered prayers and sought blessings inside the main shrine of the Samdruptse complex. The CM also took part in various religious rituals during the Rapney ceremony.

On the occasion, the CM was felicitated by Khorchen Rinpoche and SMC for his immense contribution in maintaining peace and religious harmony in the state of Sikkim as well as for his active involvement in the development of Samdruptse complex and the newly inaugurated stupas. The SMC also offered their acknowledgment to various individuals for providing financial aid for successful completion of the eight stupas.
