Sikkim's NK Pradhan to represent India at World Police & Fire Games

Navin Kumar Pradhan is all set to represent the country in the upcoming World Police and Fire Games 2017 to be held from 07 to 16 Aug at Los Angeles in USA. He won a silver medal for the country in the last edition of the Games held in 2015 in USA.

42-year-old, MrPradhan hails from Rhenock in East Sikkim and is with the Sikkim Armed Police. A former Mr Sikkim, he has been shortlisted by the Indian Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, which is affiliated to the International Bodybuilding Federation, to represent the country in this event.

Speaking to media persons here today, MrPradhan expressed his happiness on being shortlisted to represent the country once again in this prestigious international competition.

“I have been practicing rigorously since five months for this competition. I will give my best to win the gold medal this time for the country,” he said. He also thanked everyone who has supported him in preparing and participating in the competition.

Sikkim State Body Building Association [SSBBA] has congratulated and extended best wishes to MrPradhan for the event. SSBBA general secretary, ArunGurung stated that it was a proud moment for the State and the Country when MrPradhan won a silver medal in the last edition of the Games.

“We are confident that he will come back with the gold medal for the country from the Games,” he added.
