Sikkim truck torched at Hanuman Jhora Bridge


Kalimpong, 09 Aug:

A Sikkim truck carrying food items has reportedly been torched by miscreants at Hanuman Jhora Bridge in Kalimpong District in the intervening night of 08-09 Aug.

According to information received from police sources the truck was heading towards Jorethang from Siliguri carrying rice and flour. The miscreants were reportedly wearing masks.

The miscreants threatened the driver to come out of the truck. Afraid, the driver refused to come out of the truck after which the truck was allegedly set on fire. This is the third incident of vehicle torching along the National Highway-10. Meanwhile, a Bolero was vandalised in Kalimpong on the same day.
