Gangtok, 20 Aug:

A musical extravaganza was organized here on Saturday evening as part of Sir Thutob Namgyal Memorial Hospital’s celebration of 100 years of service to Sikkim.

The event featured spectacular performances by various artists from Sikkim and Darjeeling. The five-member band of Eklavya Residential Modern School, Gangyap, West Sikkim gave a vibrant performance on the stage.

The band 'Bamboo Groove' from Darjeeling also played few numbers which were thoroughly enjoyed by the crowd.

The star of the Centenary Celebration however was Abhishek Lemo Gurung from Darjeeling, who was one of the top-three finalists of the English singing reality show 'The Stage 2' who made the audience groove to his mesmerizing vocals.

He was also joined by the two popular female singers of Sikkim Neha Pradhan from Half Past 12 band and a solo artist Smryna Samten Sherpa.
