Former Dzongu Minister questions clause no 2 of CMRHM scheme

Mangan, 14 Dec:

Former Minister from Dzongu, Athup Lepcha, has opposed one of the clauses of the Chief Minister’s Rural Housing Mission [CMRHM] with regard to the support and assistance to be provided by the beneficiaries to the contractor.

Mr Lepcha has said that the amount for the said scheme is Rs 12, 45, 000 which is to be awarded to the contractors for the construction. In the terms and conditions of the allotment order, clause no. 2 clearly mentions that the beneficiaries and their families should provide all necessary support and assistance for the completion of the project.

Mr Lepcha has opposed the aforementioned clause stating that the sanctioned amount will be enough for successful completion of the construction.

If in case the beneficiary does not provide the necessary help, there is a possibility of the contractor creating a fuss and delaying the project, he said.
