SMIT professor, Shabbiruddin, to be awarded PhD degree

Shabbiruddin has successfully defended his PhD titled “An Exploratory Analysis of Planning and Operation for Power Distribution System” on 29 Dec at Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology [SMIT], Majitar and has been recommended for award of Doctor of Philosophy degree by the Board of Examiners of Sikkim Manipal University [SMU].
An SMU press release informs that Mr Shabbiruddin is a faculty member of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Department at SMIT. He worked under the supervision of Associate Director [SMIT], Dr Karma Sonam Sherpa, Principal, Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College, Amitava Ray and Dean Academics, Indus University, Ahmadabad, Dr Sandeep Chakravorty.
Mr Shabbiruddin graduated with a Bachelor of Technology degree from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Karnataka in 2009 after which he completed his Masters in Technology from Sikkim University in 2011.
Mr Shabbiruddin will be awarded with the Doctor of Philosophy degree during the next Convocation of Sikkim Manipal University (SMU).
Mr Shabbiruddin’s research deals with the development of models and techniques for planning and operation of power distribution system, the release adds.
