AR Rahman gets nation talking about Sikkim

Music composer AR Rahman donning a new role as the brand ambassador of Sikkim has generally received a positive feedback in the national media along with many noting the state's thrust on organic mission which was also mentioned by the world renowned artist in his speech yesterday in the capital.
Today the globally famous Indian musician visited Tsomgo lake and also took a chopper ride around the state in the popular joyride service.
Leading news network, India today writes, "India's first organic state, Sikkim, looks to boost tourism with AR Rahman on board."
Similarly, another major news source, Times of India writes, "The annual tourism event organized by the state tourism department took a giant leap from preceding years with the presence of the globally renowned musician."
Likewise, Kolkata based, The Telegraph highlighted the portion of the speech of Rahman with the headline, "Preserve Purity".
Travel-based Conde Nast, taking note of the recent trend among states to declare celebrities as its brand ambassador, writes, "With Rahman as its brand ambassador, Sikkim joins other eastern states that have roped in celebrities to promote tourism. Last year, Priyanka Chopra signed on as the brand ambassador for Assam, while John Abraham has been endorsing the state of Arunachal Pradesh."
