Vajra Hall to be back soon as Sikkim's first multiplex

Gangtok, 12 Feb:

There is finally some good news for cinemagoers as Sikkim will soon have its very first multiplex. Yes! Vajra Cinema Hall is on its way to becoming a multiplex. Not only that, a shopping complex along with the hall is also part of the plan.

Vajra Cinema Hall has been shut down for about a month now and cinema lovers have been lining up outside the only other theatre in town, Denzong Cinema Hall.

Speaking to SummitTimes, proprietor of Vajra Hall, Pema Ladakhi, informed that another screen is being added to the theatre thus making it the first multiplex in Gangtok and the state along with the inclusion of a shopping complex within the premises.

He has further informed that the renovation work will take another six months to complete after which the multiplex will open to the public with added services besides just watching a movie and relishing the hall's famous 'koftas'.

Mr Ladakhi hopes that the public takes advantage of the perks being added to the theatre after it reopens.
