SKM calls meeting to discuss peace rally


Gangtok, 21 Mar:

Sikkim Krantikari Morcha held an emergency meeting at its headquarters in Gangtok today for the peace rally to be organised on 24 Mar. The meeting was attended by party executives and supporters.

During the discussions, it was stated that the peace rally is being organised for a noble cause and it is necessary for all to take part in order to "expose the corruption of the SDF government".

“Illegal deeds like service extensions, backdoor appointments, labour contract system, violation of law, etc., have become regular with the SDF party in power. SKM has always opposed such illegal acts and are firm in our mission to eradicate such negativities,” the release adds.

During the meeting, Uttam Lepcha was promoted and appointed as vice president [HQ & administration]. Likewise, Pawan Gurung has also been appointed as general secretary [HQ & administration].
