SMIT holds 2nd Manipal Student Research Colloquium

Two-day conclave '2nd Manipal Student Research Colloquium [MSRC-2018]' was organized by Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology [SMIT], Sikkim Manipal University on 15-16 Mar. A press release informs that Dr SB Gadgil [Scientist-H, Research Centre Imarat, Defence Research and Development Organization, Hyderabad] shared his knowledge during the plenary session.

The colloquium was attended by participants from Manipal Academy of Higher Education [Dubai], Manipal University [Jaipur], Manipal Academy of Higher Education [Manipal, Karnataka], SMU, SMIMS and SMIT.

A total of 123 research papers on seven different tracks namely Architecture, planning & design, mechanical engineering; Basic & applied sciences; Law, journalism and mass communication; Electronics & electrical engineering; Computer science, computer applications and information technology; Management, humanities & social sciences; and, Health sciences along with the poster presentation were deliberated upon during the two-day colloquium.

It may be mentioned here, in order to inspire, incubate, integrate and strengthen interdisciplinary and innovative research amongst the students, Manipal Education System Vice Chancellors’ Conclave recommended that an annual Manipal Students Research Colloquium [MSRC] should be held. The first MSRC- 2016 was hosted by Manipal University, Jaipur on 17-18 Mar in 2017.
