SAATHI holds refresher camps for students

Gangtok, 24 Mar:

Sikkim Against Addiction Towards Healthy India [SAATHI] organised two refresher camps for students at Indian Himalayan Centre for Adventure and Eco-Tourism (IHCAE), Chemchey, South Sikkim, a press release informs.

The first camp from 16to 19 Marwas attended by 100 students from ten schools with ten teachers as coordinators of the camp.

The participating schools wereNamcheybong Senior Secondary School,MamringSenior Secondary School,DiklingSenior Secondary School,MachongSenior Secondary School,KewzingSenior Secondary School, KitamSenior Secondary School, PerbingSenior Secondary School, Rateypani,TashiNamgyal Senior Secondary School and SadamSenior Secondary School.

Sub-Inspector [Ravangla], CK Subba, Psychologist, ReshmaSubba, Kesangla Sherpa from United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, Udai C Rai and AshishBangdel were the resource persons of the camp.

Likewise, the second camp was flagged off on 21Mar which concluded today.

Altogether, 90 students from nine different schools attended the camp. Among the schools were YangyangSenior Secondary School, Zoom AS, KB LimbooSenior Secondary School, SamdongSenior Secondary School, SM Senior Secondary School-Khamdong, DikchuSenior Secondary School, MakhaSenior Secondary School and DamthangSenior Secondary School.
