BJP delegation calls on Maneka Gandhi, discusses issues of the State

Gangtok, 26 Mar:

A delegation of Bharatiya Janta Party’s Sikkim unit, led by its president, DB Chauhan, called on the Union Minister for Women & Child Development, Maneka Gandhi, at Raj Bhawan today. The delegation apprised the Union Minister on the various issues of the State, informs a BJP press release.

The release informs that Ms Gandhi appreciated the natural beauty of Sikkim and its simple people and stressed upon forming a BJP government in the State and also appreciated the work of the State-unit for strengthening the party organisation here.

The release adds that the delegation alleged that the SDF government has been partial in distributing welfare schemes of the Centre.

It is added that the Minister asked the State unit of the party to report such instances directly to the Ministry.

The release adds that she has also agreed to visit the BJP office and interact with the party workers tomorrow at Singtam on her way back to Delhi.
