Parmila Chhetri raring to go for Fbb Colors Femina Miss India 2018

GANGTOK, 27 Mar:

Sikkim girl Parmila Chhetri is currently preparing for the upcoming Fbb Colors Femina Miss India 2018 to be held in Mumbai. She was crowned Fbb Colors Femina Miss India Sikkim 2018 on 22 Mar at Kolkata and will be representing Sikkim in the Miss India contest at Mumbai.

22-year-old Parmila is from Sangkhola in East Sikkim. She has completed her graduation in tourism from Sikkim Government College, Tadong. She was among the top five contestants of Miss Sikkim 2017 and was selected for the North East zonal round along with five other models from the State in the screening of Miss India Sikkim. In the North-East zonal round at Guwahati, she was adjudged Miss India Sikkim 2018.

Speaking to media persons here this afternoon, Parmila expressed her happiness on getting the opportunity to represent Sikkim in Fbb Colors Femina Miss India 2018 contest.

“The competition will be tough and this is a new challenge for me but I will give my best to make my State proud in this prestigious contest,” she said.

To prepare for the pageant, she is grooming herself in speaking skills, fitness and other areas for the competition. She is scheduled to leave for Mumbai after one month.

Parmila shared her desires to be a successful model and an actress in the near future.

A Gangtok-based event management firm, Positude has been helping Parmila to prepare for Fbb Colors Femina Miss India 2018. Positude CEO, Gyurmila Bhutia expressed her happiness on another model from Sikkim making it this far in this prestigious contest.

“Parmila has lots of potential and always tries to learn. With a little grooming and encouragement she can do well in the contest,” she said. She also thanked Sang-Martam MLA, Dr Mechung Bhutia and former Minister and social worker, T Lachungpa and designer, Tshering Dolma, for supporting Parmila.

Stating that Positude has always been working to promote local models, she stressed upon the need of more sponsors to help local models excel at the national level.
