Divya’s “Saving Grace” launched

Gangtok, 29 Mar:

A poetry collection, “Saving Grace,” by Divya Subba, a 21 year old student of Sikkim University, was launched at a special event here today at Rachna Books. The collection was launched by Divya’s father, Prakash.

“Divya was always interested in writing poems and short stories and started writing in earnest when she was in class IV,” shared the proud father.

Speaking to SummitTimes, Divya said that she was happy that her first collection is now out and thanked everyone who supported her in her debut effort.

Meanwhile, her father added, “We recognised her interest in writing and always encouraged her to follow her interest and passion.” He also urged every parent to encourage their children in whatever they are interested in and most happy doing.

The launch programme was attended by family members, friends, teachers and well-wishers and included recitals by young poets in English, Nepali and Tibetan.

Divya Subba is the daughter of Roshan and Prakash Subba and hails from Rautey Rumtek, East Sikkim.
