April 5, 2018

Gangtok, 04 Apr:

The Bharatiya Janta Party’s Sikkim unit has expressed that while the ban on non-organic vegetables from outside the State was a welcome step to some extent in the interest of local farmers, the order of the government was just for show as vegetables and fruits from the outside have been coming into Sikkim through SIMFED.

The release has further alleged that even the fodder of animals has been coming from outside and was not organic.

The sudden decision of the government to ban non-organic vegetables has affected the life of the people of Sikkim. People have been suffering due to the decision of the government which was taken just to take the credit, the release claims.
