NBU postpones undergraduate exams clashing with panchayat polls

Siliguri, 09 Apr:

North Bengal University has rescheduled dates of bachelor course examinations for colleges affiliated to it which were clashing with the upcoming panchayat polls in West Bengal. No changes have, however, been made for the exams slated for after 11 May, by when the poll process would have completed.

Joydip Sen, Controller of Examinations, NBU, informs that the examination of BA, B.Sc, B.Com General Part-I and Part-II slated to be held between 27 April to May 10 have been postponed.

These exams will now be held from 31 May to 08 June, he added.

“We will upload detailed information on the university website in a few days and also notify the principals of NBU-affiliated colleges,” Mr Sen said.

The Panchayat general elections will be conducted in three phases in 20 districts of the State on 01, 03 and 05 May with the counting to be held on 08 May.
