Paragliding mishap survivor Vivaan Ojha to be airlifted to Bagdogra Airport
Gangtok, 13 Apr:
Eleven-year-old Vivaan Ojha from Kolkata who was grievously injured in the recent paragliding incident is scheduled to be airlifted in an Air Force chopper on 14 Apr, Saturday.
Speaking with SummitTimes, mother of Vivaan, Paramita said, “We are deeply touched by the support and help from the people of Sikkim. We received numerous calls from people who were ready to donate blood for my son.”
She further informed that she received ‘unconditional’ support from the members of Paragliding Association of Sikkim and the doctors and staff of Central Referral Hospital, Tadong.
Vivaan will be taken in an Air Force chopper from Libing helipad in Gangtok to Bagdogra Airport and from there he will be flown to Kolkata in an air ambulance.
Vivaan’s hands, legs and ribs were fractured in a paragliding accident at Reshithang near Gangtok on 03 Apr which also killed the pilot, Santosh Rai.
“We are grateful for all the help extended to us, please pray for the speedy recovery of my son,” said the mother.
