Sikkim band Granite Yard in finals of ShiRock Band Competition in Manipur

Rap metal band from Sikkim, Granite Yard, has made it to the finals of ShiRock Band Competition to be held in Manipur. The competition is part of the SHIROCKFEST, an annual international rock festival of Manipur, organised by Tourism Department, Government of Manipur. It will be held from 24 to 28 Apr in Bakshi Ground, Ukhrul Headquarters, Manipur.
Altogether 20 bands from the North East have made it to the finals through auditions held on 09-10 Apr in Imphal and 12-13 Apr in Guwahati.
Different bands from the entire Northeast region will clash for Shirock 2018 title worth Rs 10 lakh. This edition of ShiRock will feature two internationally renowned Rock Bands "Steelheart" and "Queensryche" on the opening and closing days, respectively. These famous bands will perform in India for the very first time at Bakshi Ground, Ukhrul, Manipur.
Granite Yard has Donny on vocals, Yogain on guitars, Rupen on bass, Alvin on drums and D Freestyla J as the band's DJ. Rage Against the Machine, Limp Bizkit, POD, Korn are some of the band's influences.
