SCA hosts farewell dinner for players selected for NE Camp


Gangtok, 18 Apr:

Sikkim Cricket Association President, Lobzang G Tenzing hosted a farewell lunch for the players selected in different categories for Zonal Cricket Academy NE Zone/Bihar Camp that will be conducted in Northeast States from 22 Apr to 13 May, a press release from SCA informs.

It was reported earlier that eight players from Sikkim have been selected in different categories for the Zonal Cricket Academy Camp from North East/Bihar Zone.

The selected players are Nur Pandi Lepcha, Tshering Yangden Lepcha, Enema Yanki Lepcha and Songkit Lepcha in U-19 girls category, Robin Limboo and Tarun Sharma in U-16 boys category and Anwesh Karan Sharma and Albert Rai in U-19 boys category.

The camp for U-19 boys category is set to take place in Nagaland whereas for U-16 boys and U-19 girls, the camp will be held in Nagaland and Manipur respectively.

The players and their coaches, Amos Rai, Som Tshering Lepcha, Kikam Bhutia were all honoured for their achievements.

Coach Kikam Bhutia was also honoured for being appointed by Board of Control for Cricket in India as Fielding and Wicket Keeping Coach for the U-19 (Girls) Zonal Cricket Academy NE Zone/Bihar Camp to be held at Manipur.

SCA president and other members of the association along with the coaches gave their best wishes to the selected players and motivated them to give their best in the camp. The president also thanked the sponsors of the camp for providing support to the players for the upcoming camp.
