Sikkim Entrepreneurs Meet in Gangtok

Gangtok, 25 Apr (IPR): Minister of State (Independent Incharge) Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India, Giriraj Singh chaired the Sikkim Entrepreneurs Meet organized by MSME-Gangtok at Chintan Bhawan today.

Addressing the gathering Union Minister appreciated the growth made by the young entrepreneurs of Sikkim over the past years and urged them to continue with the same zeal and enthusiasm.

“There is much scope in Sikkim products as Sikkim has already made its brand as Organic. Young entrepreneurs must take advantage of this by labeling their products as Organic products. Besides Organic products, e-entrepreneurs can be set up for Bamboo industry under Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP). Once Bamboo industry starts functioning then products can be exported to various parts of the world,” said the Minister.

He asked MSME to organise awareness programme on UAM across the state so that more entrepreneurs learn about the Udhyog Aadhaar Memorandum (UAM).

The Minister also released the first Data Bank Book on MSME, Sikkim.
