SMU climbs higher at NIRF India Rankings this year

In the National Institute Ranking Framework [NIRF] India Rankings 2018 conducted by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, Sikkim Manipal University has found a place in Rank-band: 101-150 India University Rankings for 2018, out of 296 eligible Universities in the country ranked by NIRF.

Vice Chancellor, SMU, Lieutenant General [Dr] MD Venkatesh, congratulated SMU for having secured better NIRF ranking.

“I am happy to note that SMU has not only consolidated its position but also improved overall ranking among the academic institutions by improving upon various parameters of evaluation and assessment,” said Dr Venkatesh.

“We are committed to providing requisite resources for the continued pursuit of academic excellence in the institution,” he added, while crediting the faculty and students of the institute for this achievement.

He said that overall progress in research and development, teaching and institute development led to this achievement. He also praised the students for bringing awards and recognition to the institute by pioneering in the field of research and development.
