Sichey surges in the final of CM’s Gold Cup Archery Tourney

Gangtok, 08 May:

Sichey has entered into the finals of the ongoing 17th Chief Minister’s Gold Cup Archery Tournament 2018 here at Sikkim Archery Association [SAA] archery field in Tathangchen.

In the first semi-final match played on Monday, Sichey defeated Navey 62-20 to secure its place in the finals of the tournament.

The second semi-final match will be played between Yangtse Tours and Travel from Bhutan and Garuda Blue from Gangtok on 10 May.

The final match is scheduled to be played on 13 May.

Winner of the tournament will receive cash prize of Rs 01 lakh while runner-up will receive cash prize of Rs 50,000.

The tournament is being organised by Sikkim Archery Association with participation of 17 teams from Sikkim, West Bengal and Bhutan.

This prestigious archery tournament is an annual event of SAA mainly to preserve and promote traditional form of archery.
