Bandana Rai wins Allure Fashion Tour’s Miss India 2018 title

Bandana Rai of Sikkim has won the title of Allure Fashion Tour’s Miss India 2018. The only contestant from entire North-Eastern region, Ms Rai also won the title of Miss Ramp Walk in the contest.
The 19-year-old is the daughter of Shova Rai and late Dhan Raj Rai hailing from Sichey, Gangtok in East Sikkim. She is a second semester student of Sikkim Government College, Tadong. She had also won the title of Miss Kirawa Rai Sikkim in 2016.
Allure Fashion Tour’s Mr & Miss India 2018 was organized by owner of Allure Tabloid, Dev Jindal, at Ashoka Hotel in New Delhi which had three categories of Mrs Classic, Mrs India and Miss India. The grooming session of the contest was held from 01-03 May and the grand finale was held on 04 May.
It is informed that more than 50 contestants had participated in the contest. Only 19 were shortlisted in all three categories for the grand finale with Ms Rai being crowned the Allure Fashion Tour’s Miss India 2018 title.
Speaking to media persons this afternoon, Ms Rai expressed her immense happiness on winning the title of Miss India 2018.
“The competition was really tough with the best models from different States. It was a learning experience for me. This achievement has further motivated and inspired me to go further in the field of modelling,” she expressed.
On winning the title of Miss India, she has won a one-year contract with the organisers and has also received an offer to act in a South Indian movie.
“I have already started my preparations to get an entry and do well in the next season of Femina Miss India beauty contest,” Bandana shared.
Apart from modelling, she also has interests in acting and dancing.
“I want to complete my graduation first and then I will fully focus in modelling and acting,” she said.
Her mother, Shova Rai, expressed happiness and satisfaction on her daughter’s achievement.
“She had interest in modelling since her childhood and I am very happy with her achievements. I want every parent to support their children to fulfill their dreams,” she added.
