Research Scholar in Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology [SMIT], Manish Kumar Thukral, has successfully defended his thesis on 05 May on the topic “Development of Suitable of Technique for Analyzing Chaotic Spectra of DC-DC Converters and its Application in Secure Communication” under the guidance of Head of Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, SMIT, Professor [Dr] Karma Sonam Sherpa, who is also the Registrar of Sikkim Manipal University, and former Pro-Vice Chancellor Manipal University, Jaipur, Prof [Dr] Kumkum Garg. He has been recommended for award of degree by the Board of Examiners of Sikkim Manipal University, an SMU press release informs.
His prime area of research is developing secure communication models using chaotic power electronics based circuits. Secure communication based on chaos technology in wireless communication is an active area of research. The proposed models in his research can be used in securing telecommunications and military communications. He has shown in his research that if chaos technology is implemented in wireless communication then it can be prevented from security attacks like jamming, integrity and confidentiality. He has published number of peer reviewed SCI journals from his research work, the release adds.
Currently, he is working as Associate Professor with Department of Electrical Engineering in Manipal University, Jaipur.
It is informed that the Doctor of Philosophy will be awarded to him during the next Convocation of SMU.
