State felicitates 16 youth and budding entrepreneurs

To recognise the work done by young individuals and budding entrepreneurs of Sikkim, the Government of Sikkim today felicitated 16 young individuals and entrepreneurs with Letters of Appreciation during the 43rd State Day celebration function held at Chintan Bhawan in Gangtok.
The letters of appreciation were conferred on Captain Juhie Palmu Chettri [Pilot, Indigo Airlines], Sushil Kumar Tamang [Cherry Village Home Stay, Darap West Sikkim], Sonam Choden Bhutia [Taste Buds Chocolate, Gangtok], Smita Rai [Namchi Designer Candles], Devika Gurung [Fidgety Fingers, Gangtok], Bikash Rai [GBT Entertainment, Namchi], Jigme Lepcha [Milestone Vacations, North Sikkim], Priya Dahal [Self Help Group, Beautiful Earth, Namchi], Rewaj Chettri [NE Taxi, Gangtok], Dr Sujata Mukhia [Dentist, Dayspring Dental Clinic, Gangtok], Tenzing Dorjee Bhutia [Shuffle Momos, Gangtok], Yangchen Doma Lepcha [Beautician, Identity, Gangtok], and Songmit Lepcha, Thangmu Lepcha, Kanzang Lepcha & Sangken Rai of Oriens Global Marketing Pvt Ltd, Mangan.
The letters of appreciation were in recognition and acknowledgement of their entrepreneurial skills and contribution in their respective fields.
The young entrepreneurs in the State of Sikkim have not only sustained themselves independently but have also created employment opportunities for many. The felicitated individuals have created a niche and unique identity in Sikkim despite various circumstances and challenges.
One of the recipients of the felicitation, Devika Gurung, expressed happiness on receiving the letter of appreciation. She said that Sikkim’s youth have huge potential and capability.
“The only thing that is needed now is the realization by our young minds,” she added.
Founder, Beautiful Earth, Priya Dahal, appreciated the initiative of the State Government in recognizing the efforts of young entrepreneurs of Sikkim. She further thanked the Government for taking up all the initiative to create an entrepreneurship ecosystem in Sikkim.
