NIT wraps up six-week course on Buddhist Art and Shaytrin


Gangtok, 19 May:

Namgyal Institute of Tibetology [NIT], Gangtok, today handed over certificates to the students who underwent six-week long intensive short term courses conducted by NIT in a function held today, a press release from NIT informs.

NIT, Gangtok, in collaboration with Sikkim University had recently wrapped up its six weeks intensive short term courses on Tibetan/Himalayan Buddhist Art and Architecture and Shaytrin [Nagarjuna’s Letter to a Friend].

The lecturers for the two courses were Professor PranshuSamadarshi from Delhi and DrKhenpoChowang from Gangtok.

Governor Shriniwas Patil who is also the president of NIT attended the function along with SU vice-chancellor, registrar and staff members from the university and NIT, reads the release.

The release further informs that the students were certified based on their performance in the examination conducted after the completion of the courses.
