Boxer Anoj Pradhan qualifies as National Coach

Gangtok, 23 May:

Anoj Pradhan, an upcoming boxer from Sikkim is one of the few to undergo a diploma in boxing course from Netaji Subash Eastern Centre at National Institute of Sports Authority of India in Kolkata.

The 28-year-old young, agile and swift boxer is also a national player and has participated in several state, regional and national level boxing competitions.

Presently he is doing his internship at Utlou Sai Centre in Manipur.

He hails from Chinzey village near Rumtek in East Sikkim and had graduated from Burtuk Government College in 2016.

Trained under veteran pugilists like Arjuna awardee, Jaslal Pradhan, and national coaches like Sandhya Gurung, Manoj Limbo and Raju Rai, Pradhan is now ready to train aspiring boxers of India.

“I would like to thank my family, mentors and friends who supported my journey and me,” said Anoj.

He considers Mohammed Ali as his source of inspiration.
