Two Sikkimese girls shortlisted for Asian Games 2018 prep camp

Lako Phuti Bhutia and Anju Tamang from West Sikkim have been shortlisted by All India Football Federation [AIFF] to undergo preparatory camp from 15-30 June in preparation for Asian Games 2018. The camp is being organised by AIFF.
Lako Phuti and Anju are part of Sikkim’s Senior Division players. AIFF, meanwhile, is yet to finalise the venue for the coaching camp which will be intimated at a later stage.
Lako hails from the village of Sribadam in West Sikkim and is the daughter of Mikchen Bhutia and Late Pem Lhamu Bhutia. Daughter of Kanchi Maya and Ram Singh Tamang, Anju, who also hails from West Sikkim, is an extraordinarily talented striker.
Both of them have been trained under Palden Bhutia at Mangalbaria Girls Football Academy.
Lako Phuti is currently working as assistant coach at Soreng Girls Football Academy in West Sikkim.
SFA president, Menla Ethenpa, has congratulated both the players and has expressed confidence that they will have no problems getting selected in the final list. He further urged the girls to give their 100% effort in the camp and has wished them good luck.
