DC calls for collaborative work to make West the best district in the nation

Gyalshing, 08 Jun [IPR]: The review meeting for the NITI Aayog initiative of transforming Aspirational Districts was held at the conference hall of District Administrative Centre in Rabdentse, West Sikkim, today.

The programme was chaired by Additional Secretary, Finance Department, Raj Kumar Yadav, accompanied by District Collector, West, Dr AB Karki, and Additional District Collector, Karma Lepcha, and other HoDs of line departments.

Mr Yadav addressed the officers on ways to improve the indicators required for West district to become an aspirational district. He also stated that the data to be entered into the portal should be checked and reviewed in time with utmost responsibility by the designated officers of the department.

He advised the officers to keep proper records and work with full enthusiasm.

Dr Karki spoke on a similar note whilst stating that the Aspirational District Programme was the brainchild of the Prime Minister and urged officers present to understand the gravity of the initiative and work hand in hand with him to make West Sikkim the number one district of India.

He further stated that officers had an opportunity to work for the district where an opportunity has been created for them to showcase their talent and efficiency.
