Rhenock College’s annual fest ‘Monsoon Vibes’ wraps up

Rhenock Government College wrapped up its three-day long annual fest, ‘Monsoon Vibes,’ on 06 June, a press release informs.
The festival featured an array of sports and cultural events like marathon, futsal, volleyball, dancing, singing, painting and fashion.
The festival had kicked off on 04 June with a marathon - ‘Run for Health’ - with area MLA [Chujachen], Bikram Pradhan as chief guest.
On the second day of the fest, the students organized a plantation drive in and around the college premises. More than 100 saplings of flowering and fruit bearing plants were planted to mark World Environment Day on 05 Jun.
The festival aimed to bring out hidden talents of the students and provide them with a fitting platform, reads the release.
The college fraternity has thanked Chief Minister Pawan Chamling, Human Resource Development Minister, R.B Subba, Additional Chief Secretary, G.P Upadhyaya for their support and encouragement in organizing the festival.
The college has also thanked Director, Higher Education, D.K Pradhan, Joint Director, Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan [RUSA], Rajiv Roka, Joint Director, Higher Education, T. Topgay Bhutia, Sub Divisional Magistrate [Rongli] for attending the festival.
During the course of the festival, the college also released its first issue of newsletter ‘Campus Buzz’, informs the release.
