Amar Subba set to compete in 24-hour stadium run at Mumbai

Sikkim’s Marathon Man, Amar Subba is all set to compete in the 24 Hours Stadium Run scheduled to be held on 16 and 17 June at University Stadium, Marine Drive in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
The 24-hour stadium run will start on 16 June at 06 p.m. and will wrap up at 06 p.m on 17 June.
The 50-year-old runner will leave on Friday for the event.
Mr Subba has been selected on the basis of his performance at the recently held 12-Hour [Night] Stadium Run held on 26-27 May at Gachibowli Stadium in Hyderabad where he covered 87.2 KMs in 12 hours and finished on the tenth position.
Addressing a press conference here today, Mr Subba mentioned about his injuries after running 75 KMs in his debut appearance at 24 Hours Stadium Run last year in Bangalore.
“I have learnt from my mistakes. This time I am prepared and ready for anything. The event is also a big opportunity for me to run along with some of the best ultra runners of the country,” he said.
Mr Subba plans to cover at least 160 KMs in the 24 hours run.
