In continuation with Sikkim Democratic Front’s district level workshop “Samvaad” for its party functionaries, the second and third day of the workshop was held with Ward level presidents of all the seven constituencies of South Sikkim on 19-20 Jun in Namchi.

Day two of Samvaad had the participation of more than 80 WLC presidents and members from Barfung, Namthang-Ratyepani and Rangang-Yangang constituencies while the 3rd day had 120 presidents and members from Poklok-Kamrang, Namchi-Singithang, Melli and Temi-Namphing constituencies, an SDF press release informs.

During the course of the ongoing Samvaad programme, WLC president from Barfung constituency, NL Gurung, shared that such workshops are the need of the hour and will help combat different negative forces where common people are being continuously misled as the election is approaching and many seasonal forces are trying to score big with baseless and unworthy claims to target the strong base of SDF.

He added that programmes like Samvaad has provided them with in-depth knowledge and guidance to keep such seasonal forces at bay and make people aware on the reality and dedication with which SDF has served Sikkim and its society since 1994.

Mr Gurung further extended gratitude to the District Working Committee, SDF, South district for giving them opportunities to exchange their views and experiences with other members of the party from different areas and expressed that Samvaad has renewed their energy to be more focused and alert in days to come.

It may be mentioned here, the Samvaad programme of SDF had kicked off on 18 Jun and will conclude on 18 Jul. It aims to provide one on one interaction with SDF functionaries of different frontal organizations and to spread awareness on the programmes, policies, roles, responsibilities and the achievements of Sikkim under the SDF government.
