Inter-school scholastic competition held at Sudunglakha School

Zilla Panchayat of Bering Sudunglakha Territorial Constituency, East Sikkim in collaboration with State Institute of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj and Youth Development Society of Sikkim [YODESS], Rongli conducted an inter-school scholastic competition at Government Secondary School, Sudunglakha on 27 Jun.

Powered by Wandering Souls of Sikkim, the event was organized with the aim to provide a platform for students to showcase their talents, a press release informs.

Sixty students from 11 government and private schools from in and around Bering Sudunglakha participated in 06 different competitions organized during the daylong event.

Tareythang Secondary School secured first position in the senior level quiz followed by Mulukey Junior High School in second position.

In the junior level quiz competition, Takshang Kaijaley School bagged the first position with Bering Junior High School coming in second.

Likewise, Anjali Giri of Sudunglakha Secondary School secured first position in the elocution competition with Ashika Kafley of Tareythang Secondary School in the second position.

Pratistha Sharma of Blooming Buds Academy secured the first position in the spelling-bee competition followed by Prerna Gurung of Mulukey Junior High School taking the second position.

In the senior level essay writing competition, Prajambika Sharma of Sudunglakha Secondary School and Bibek Subba of Bering Junior High School secured the first and second positions respectively with Upasana Rai of Sudunglakha Secondary School and Bishaka Subba of Mulukey Junior High School winning the junior level essay writing competition in the first and second positions respectively.

The Wandering Souls of Sikkim has extended gratitude to Bering Sudunglakha TC Zilla Panchayat for organizing the event and for inviting them to be a part of it. They have also thanked Assistant Professor of English, Sikkim Manipal University, Prayash Gupta, for evaluating the essay papers and being a constant source of support and encouragement during the course of the event.
