Gyalshing, 30 Jun [IPR]:Mission Chalk and Dust Free Classroom in All Schoolswas launched at Mangsari Secondary School in West Sikkim on Friday. ZillaAdhyakshya, West, DevikaSubba, chaired the occasion as chief guest in the presence of District Magistrate, West, AB Karki, Sub Divisional Magistrate,Soreng, Additional District Collector [Development],Soreng, Block Development Officer, Assistant Engineer, Deputy Director [Human Resource Development Department], School Principals, teachers, Panchayats members and other dignitaries.
MangsariMangerjung GPU Ward Panchayat,Gyan B Tamang, and ZillaPanchayat, BP Sharma, sponsored white boards, dusters, markers and televisions to the schools falling under their jurisdiction to facilitate chalk free, dust free and audio visual study centre.
With the objective to improve scores of students in subjects like English and Mathematics, all Panchayats have taken the responsibility to provide necessary essentials to their respective area schools in West Sikkim.
The DC urged every individual to come forward and help in favour of improving quality in education with special focus on English and Mathematics. He asked the students to be diligent in their studies and reminded them that Sikkim’s free education to all Sikkimese students announced by the Chief Minister is for their benefit and they should grasp the opportunity and be their best.
