Dikchu, 01 Jul:
Nearly 95% of the work on the 160 metre long suspension bridge across Mantam lake in Upper Dzongu has been completed and the final touches of fixing a wire net along the side is currently underway. The bridge is expected to be completed over the next couple of days. The people, however, have started using the bridge and Home Guards have been deputed to the spot to ensure public safety, informs the Sub-Divisional Office, Dzongu. Now, people of the cut off areas of Upper Dzongu need no longer depend on the motor raft to cross the lake.
