Nepali Actor Anmol KC, who is in Gangtok to shoot for the upcoming movie ‘Captain,’ today said that he finds Sikkim as a “Home Away from Home”.
The 23-year-old actor is accompanied by his father, the acclaimed Nepali cine star, Bhuwan KC.
“We are here to shoot a football match sequence of the movie. Everyone knows that the Paljor Stadium is the best in North East India, and hence became an obvious choice,” said Bhuwan KC.
The team is also scheduled to shoot a song sequence at Tsomgo.
Anmol said, “I was a small kid when I first visited Sikkim. I don’t remember anything from that time, but now after coming here I am surprised to see this small state with such a beautiful people.”
He added that the love for Nepali cinema in Sikkim has left him even more surprised.
“I am surprised to see so many people liking Nepali movies. It means that our industry is moving in the right direction,” he said.
Anmol plays a footballer in the movie captain.
“I love playing and watching football. I am enjoying the character which I am playing in the movie,” he added.
His message for young Sikkim, “Stay away from substance abuse and imbibe positivity.”
