The Sathya Sai Seva Organisation, Sikkim, Gangtok & North District, organised a daylong cleanliness drive here at the STNM Hospital premises today.
The cleanliness drive was conducted by 175 seva dal members of the organization and scrubbed different locations in the STNM Hospital including cleaning of the various wards.
The seva dal team included 115 female and 60 male volunteers led by the State Service Coordinator of the organisation, Punam Pradhan.
The drive also had the participation of 15 students from Kendriya Vidyala, Gangtok.
The drive was part of a regular programme under which seva dal carried out cleanliness programmes at different locations throughout the year, it is informed.
“Sathya Sai Seva Organisation is a service-based under which we volunteer different services to people whether it be through cleanliness drives or awareness camps or other service we can extend,” explains the state youth coordinator of the SSSO, Gangtok & North District, CP Gurung.
“We carry out a cleanliness drive at STNM Hospital once every year and that’s a service to the society from the SAI Sangathan,” he adds.
