Ribdi, 17 Jul (IPR):
MLA (Daramdin),DN Sherpa along with DC West,Dr. AB Karki, distributed cheques to the beneficiaries of RibdiBhareng GPU at the Village Administration Center, Ribdi. The cheques were handed over to 51 beneficiaries whose land has been utilized under the PMGSY scheme. The SDM and RO/AD along with other officials were also present at the program.
MLA, Mr Sherpa, expressed his gratitude for the initiative of the District Collector for his vision of Easy Administration Policy in West District. He acknowledged the efforts of the DC to have taken the time out for visiting the place and for his initiative to interact with the public and the Panchayats as well.
The MLA stated in his address that the DC has indeed become a bridge between the government and the public where he is ready to help them in every way. He also expressed his gratitude for the initiation of the 'Land Bank policy' of the CM which is becoming a reality in West Sikkim under the DC's supervision and leadership.
The DC Collector addressing the public congratulated the beneficiaries and the allotment order holders who will be given lands as per the 'Land Bank Policy' meant for landless citizens of Sikkim.
He stated that the motive of his visit was to learn about the problems faced by the public and be able to find possible solutions regarding problems of man-animal conflict, Certificate of Identification, lack of School staff and other similar problems. He also expressed his desire to visit the area once again to see the results of the ongoing works.
During the program, cheques to land donors were also distributed along with allotment orders to the landless beneficiaries by the MLA and DC.
