Golay meets party workers at Boomtar, welcomes new arrivals
Gangtok, 17 Aug:
Sikkim Krantikari Morcha’s South District working committee convened a coordination meeting at Boomtar, Namchi, in South Sikkim on Friday.
The meeting was also attended by SKM president, PS Tamang [Golay], advisor Buddha Tamang, working president MP Subba, Sangha MLA Sonam Lama, vice-president Birendra Tamling and other leaders and workers of the party.
An SKM press release informs that Mr Tamang received a warm welcome at the Denchung party office and 32 families aligned to the SDF from Poklok-Kamrang constituency joined SKM today.
The release adds that 24 families from Yangang-Rangrang, 47 families from Namchi-Singhithang, 39 families from Temi-Namphing, 65 families from Barfung, 10 families from Melli and 25 from Namthang-Rateypani also joined SKM at the meet.
Addressing the meeting, Mr Tamang appreciated the party leaders and supporters for having worked continuously for the people through the past year of his absence.
He alleged that the ruling party was of the opinion that SKM would disappear if the party president would put into jail, but SKM workers kept the party alive, thriving and growing instead.
He reiterated his commitment to dedicate the rest of his life to the service of Sikkim and its people.
