Gangtok, 18 Aug:
All Sikkim Adhoc Temporary Employees Association [ASATEA] held a press conference in the capital today which was addressed by its executive members.
The association informed that the members met Chief Minister PawanChamling and apprised him of all the problems faced by the temporary and adhoc employees of the State. They have submitted a memorandum to the CM while discussing issues faced by them.
Various issues like the regularization of adhoc teachers and all temporary employees having acquired academic and professional qualifications, inclusion of teachers in the notification that was released by the DOP(F(85) 17/GEN/DOP dated 27/03/2018 onregularising employees who have served the department for more than five years, continuation of adhoc service and formation of rules for appointment in adhoc and temporary employees without service break, etc., were raised by the association before the CM, it is informed.
One of the members, Rajesh Dahal, added that the CM has assured all help and will look into the issues sympathetically.
He further informed that the CM has directed the authorities to look into the problems and has assured all support to solve their problems at the earliest.
Another member, Yogesh Sharma, stated that a mass meeting of temporary employees will be held soonwhich will be addressedby the CM and various reforms will be declared.
He added that the CM has assured to be the chief guest for the said programme.
The association has further thanked vice president [administration] of Sikkim Democratic Front, DB Thapa, for extending help and cooperation throughout the process.
