Brahma Kumaris Gangtok tieRakhis on journalists

Gangtok, 22 Aug:

Brahma Kumari Meditation Centre, Gangtok celebrated RakshaBandhantoday at Brahma Kumari Raj Yoga Meditation Centre in Development Area whereinBrahma Kumaricentre head,SonamDidi, tied Rakhis on the wrists of journalists working in different media houses of Sikkim.

Addressing the gathering, SonamDidi said, “RakshaBandhan means the bond of protection that celebrates relationship between brothers and sisters. On this occasion, one should promise to share happiness and show right path to others andbelieve in righteous acts. Rakhis are tied on the right hand which means one’s actions must come from right thoughts.”

SonamDidi informed that the BrahmaKumari chief,DadiJankiji, will be visiting Sikkim in Nov this year to inaugurate the upcoming Shanti Kund Centre in Development Area scheduled to be held on 19 Nov.

She further added BrahmaKumaris have their headquarters at Mount Abu in Rajasthan and has its centresspreadover 147 countries across the globe. Brahma Kumaris is a non-profitorganisation sustained by voluntary donations from the Brahma Kumari family members, she added.

Similar RakshaBandhanprogrammes will be conducted by the BrahmaKumarisfor different sections of the society in the State, it was informed.
