Martial artists felicitate Chief Coach on stint as India team coach to Asiads
Gangtok, 26 Aug:
Sikkim Amateur Taekwondo Association [SATA] chief coach, Trilok Subba, led the Indian Taekwondo team as the team coach in the recently held 18th Asian Games 2018 held from 18 to 23 August in Indonesia.
The national team made it to pre quarter-final round in the Games.
On his return to Sikkim, Mr Subba received a grand welcome by taekwondo coaches and players of the State here at White Hall on Sunday.
On the occasion, SATA also felicitated its chief coach for leading the national team in the prestigious Asian Games.
Mr Subba expressed his happiness on getting the opportunity to represent the country as the coach in the prestigious Asian Games.
He mentioned that the national camp for the Asian Games was a learning experience about new skills and techniques.
“This experience will help teach our local martial artists of Sikkim and prepare them for the upcoming 2022 Asian Games to win medals for the country,” he shared.
He assured to bring out more talented martial artists from the State for the country.
