Sikkim girl wins Miss Teen Himalaya International & Miss Teen Bharat


GANGTOK, 04 Sept:

Miss Teen Himalaya International & Miss Teen Bharat 2018 title winner, Drishya Chettri from Sikkim has expressed her desire to bring the crown of Miss World to Sikkim. Inspired by Miss World 2017, Manushi Chhillar in the field of modelling, she also plans to enter the world of modelling and acting.

A very confident Drishya has recently returned home after winning the title of Miss Teen Himalaya International & Miss Teen Bharat 2018 held at Delhi on 31 Aug. She has now been selected to represent India in the upcoming Miss Teen International to be held in Thailand next year. She has also been offered a role in a Bollywood movie, it is informed.

The beauty pageant was organised by Aman Gandhi Film Productions and she was the only participant from Sikkim in the contest.

14-year-old Drishya is a class VIII student of Bahai School, Tadong. She is the eldest daughter of BK Chettri and Kunta Chettri of Samlick-Marchak in East Sikkim and presently residing at Daragaon, Tadong. Being a very good dancer, she was also a finalist of North East Got Talent in 2015.

Addressing a press conference here this afternoon, Drishya expressed her happiness on winning the title Miss Teen Himalaya International & Miss Teen Bharat 2018.

“I was crying with happiness when I was crowned with the title,” she said. She also expressed her immense happiness on getting the golden opportunity to represent the country in Miss Teen International.

“The contest was really tough among sixteen finalist teens from different parts of the country and the whole event was a learning experience for me. I am now more confident to face future contests,” she stated.

Drishya expressed gratitude to her parents, Bahai School Tadong and its Principal and all others who have been supporting her.
