Gangtok, 08 Sept:
Sikkim Democratic Front, South district has started its election campaigning from Kaw Ward under Tumin-Lingee constituency under the guidance of Tumin-Lingee MLA and Tourism Minister, Ugen T Gyatso Bhutia.
Addressing a meeting at Kaw Ward on 07 Sept, the area MLA said that Sikkim Democratic Front will form the government for the sixth consecutive time in Sikkim in 2019.
He further stated that in a democracy, people are free to support any party but SKM has no decency and is not civilized enough to gain people’s support. He added that SDF has been standing firm and strong like Kanchenjunga and small avalanches will not make any difference.
Mr Bhutia stated that under the leadership of party president, Pawan Chamling, Sikkim has been moving in the right direction. He added that people of Sikkim are looked up to in the country due to the able and successful leadership of the CM.
People of Sikkim have been empowered and made aware of their rights during the SDF government, he added.
He urged people to steer clear of people with negative thoughts further adding that such negative elements will turn people into slaves if they come to power.
He encouraged the people of the constituency to work together to make Tumin-Lingee a model constituency of the State.
The Area MLA also informed about various developmental activities of the government for the constituency and urged people to work in coordination with the government for development of the area through Organic Farm Tourism. He also assured to work on all demands placed by the local people by the end of this year.
The meeting was also addressed by TD Kazi who has shifted to SDF from SKM.
“I had joined SKM for Parivartan but later realized that the party does not have a leader like Pawan Chamling who can lead Sikkim towards the right path,” he said.
