Retd govt employees resolve to leverage experience and continue working for society
Singtam, 09 Sept: A general meeting of Retired Government Employee Welfare Association, Singtam branch, was held here at the Nepali Dharamsala today. The meeting thanked the Chief Minister for increasing medical allowance for retired employees from Rs 1,000 per month to Rs 2,000. Focusing on their responsibilities and the need to make the association even more effective, various plans, initiatives and concerns were discussed in detail today. “Despite the long speeches and introductions, the meeting was clearly about finding new ways to approach, encourage involvement and of course take more responsibility and that we should not delay,” TB Pradhan , president of the association, said. Members of the association need to leverage their experience to continue working for the larger interest of society as they did when they were in service, the meeting resolved. It was also decided that at every meeting of the association a senior government employee will be felicitated in recognition of their work, Mr Pradhan informed.
